                                                           ABOUT US

  We are a group of parents and grandparents who came together out of a home schooling environment to start our own school.  Frustrated by not feeling the freedom of being able to teach each other's children in the areas of our expertise, we knew there had to be a better way.   We were familiar with co-ops, but co-ops did not meet our especial needs.  for example, one of our home schooling parents excelled in teaching reading, a very necessary subject for elementary children.  It seemed unfair that the other children could not benefit by her special gift.  We understood that it would be possible as an extra-curricula activity, but in all reality, with so many extra-curricular activities, we just didn't have time to add one more.

  We prayed for some time asking our heavenly Father for direction in the matter.  When God's appointed time was revealed, everything came together, and today we have a wonderful private Christian school.  Indeed, there is always more to learn, and we are learning it!  We are so excited about our school that we wish to share it with other like brethren and to offer our help to start theirs.

  Our school is Old Paths Christian Academy.  We chose our name because we wanted the name of our  school to reflect the ways of God long forgotten in our country overall.  Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. . . ."  Jeremiah 6: 16.   We were very eager to walk in the old paths!  We educate to the GLORY OF GOD.
